When the idea for Snoloha first came to me way back in March 2003, I sat on it for about a year before I started to really think about doing something with it.
10 years ago I was renting a room in downtown Traverse City and I started toying with the concept, and what it should be. I didn’t have any access or knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator at the time. So I played around with crappy clip art concepts.
For some reason, I’ve hung on to them. I’m glad I did.
One of those original crappy clip art concepts was the ski lift above a palm tree island. It looks terrible, but I always loved the concept.
And then Joe the Designer sent me the Palm Tree Chair Lift idea a couple years back. It was instantly one of my favorites. Not only does it perfectly sum up the Snoloha concept, but my crappy clip art concept is now a reality in the form of a really sweet Snoloha design.
I’ve just re-released the design on a new and improved tri-blend shirt for guys or for gals.
You should buy one. They are pretty sweet, and extremely comfortable.
