Will it be weird, or will security even let me through the gates, if I’m lugging a bunch of Snoloha t-shirts at tomorrow’s Kenny Chesney / Zac Brown Band Concert? Yes, with the intent of somehow throwing / tossing / shooting them on stage. I think they’d dig Snoloha. And I know Snoloha would dig them wearing it…on stage, in videos, out and about, during interviews…you know, pretty much anywhere and everywhere.

But the reality is I probably won’t be able to smuggle in any swag and Kenny & Zac will not be exposed to the brand…yet.

What Snoloha is as a brand, is very much what Kenny Chesney & Zac Brown Band music is to me…escapism.

Last week I took Savannah to the beach. We went for a swim and then relaxed in Knee Deep water, she was on my lap, watching some kids play. I watched her watching the kids. We would both watch boats going in and out of the marina. I’d ask her where our boat was and she’d point at the “Snoloha” resting on her mooring ball. The waves from those boats would eventually make their way to us, at which point she’d brace herself against me. And of course we would sing…well, I sing and she pretends to enjoy it. This particular day the song choice was Zac Brown Band with Jimmy Buffett – “Knee Deep”. This all lasted for about 15 – 20 minutes. It was pure escapism and joy and relaxation and wish it could have lasted much longer than it did, but for a 1 year old…15 – 20 minutes is an eternity.

In honor of tomorrow’s concert and what may be my favorite “Beach Day with Banana” thus far, here’s a little “Knee Deep”:

Gonna put the the world away for a minute
Pretend I don’t live in it
Sunshine gonna wash my blues away

Had sweet love but I lost it
She got too close so I fought her
Now I’m lost in the world trying to find me a better way

Wishing I was knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze and it don’t seem fair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there’s a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise

Wrote a note said be back in a minute
Bought a boat and I sailed off in it
Don’t think anybody gonna miss me anyway

Mind on a permanent vacation
The ocean is my only medication
Wishing my condition ain’t ever gonna go away

I’m not sure which one I like better:

“Gonna put the the world away for a minute
Pretend I don’t live in it
Sunshine gonna wash my blues away”

OR:

“Mind on a permanent vacation
The ocean is my only medication
Wishing my condition ain’t ever gonna go away”

Either way…if your only worry in the world at any particular moment is if the tide is gonna reach your chair, you’re in a good place (physically or mentally).
